Here, the animated short "Kiwi!" is able to use the animation principle of Anticipation: when a character prepares to perform an action so that the audience is able to anticipate what will happen next. For example, Kiwi makes exaggerated movements. struggling up the cliff in order to make the audience assume that Kiwi is pulling something heavy, which he is (a tree). Then when jumping off the cliff, Kiwi takes a few running leaps and dances around getting ready to jump. The viewers are anticipating that Kiwi will jump off the cliff. Therefore, it is a good example of anticipation by Kiwi doing things before the main action occurs, allowing the audience to know what to expect next.
